Data Collection & Technology
From engaging with stakeholders in designing the Iconic V we have mounted a digital water usage counter and this allows not only the service provider but the end user to see the amount of plastic bottles the water fountain has prevented being used. The usage meter also allows a standard formula to be applied to gather other relevant information that a provider may require. NB-IOT is a data transmission standard designed to enable devices to operate in mobile carrier networks. It uses low-band-width signals to communicate withng existing LTE and GSM technologies.
Graphics & Branding
Incorporating branding into product design: In 2018 Ecofil identified the benefits of branding on water fountains and this has been one of the successes of our business. Not only by using the Ecofil range are organisations contributing hugely to the environment they are also using our units as a platform to educate the end user. Our in-house award winning design department advises clients how best to maximise the graphic panels ensuring each unit is not only a water fountain but a billboard as well. In the Iconic V we have gone one step further and designed our frames to allow for easy change of the panels. This allows organisations to change the message throughout the year at very little expense.
The new panels are 4mm as opposed to the original 2mm panels and are easily interchangeable should the need arise. This can help local authorities get a message or advertise an event to the public and once the event is over the permanent panel with the original message is put back in place. For any organisation wanting to maximise the branding experience the Iconic V is the leader in this field.
Contactless
Water fountains used to operate with a push button system. This all changed with Covid 19. Ecofil were the first in Europe to introduce contactless outdoor water stations and were delighted to have installed the first contactless unit in Europe in Howth County Dublin. Now contactless activation comes as standard on all of the Iconic range and the contactless operation is no longer operated by hand movement but once the bottle is fitted under the nozzle it activates the unit.
Hygiene Measures
In designing the Iconic range we have a smart flushing system that will auto flush in order to ensure that in slack periods water is always fresh and not stagnant to ensure safe healthy water for the end users. We also have a unique feature not available from any other manufacturer and that is our Ecofil spout. This is fully covered and fully protected from human contact and it is also coated with silver nanoparticles which destroys all microorganisms from the water. We can confidently say that Ecofil is to the fore when it comes to hygienic measures in our fountains.

Modern Design
In designing the Iconic-V we ensured it is tamper proof and of a super strong structure. This we believe will make them very difficult to be damaged by vandalism and ensures low call out to machines installed. The Iconic-V has also been designed with multiple plumbing configurations with a modular design for ease of servicing and maintenance.
Winterisation Technology
The Iconic-V is the first machine to market with temperature control technology designed to avoid freezing in low temperature conditions. The extreme climate change we have experienced has resulted in many below freezing events and these have proven to freeze many water fountains around the country resulting in leaks and damage to units. Our unique system winterisation technology has been designed by our engineers here at home in County Dublin and is an exciting feature of the Iconic-V.
