Europe’s first contactless bottle filling stations are being rolled out in the Fingal area by Ecofil on behalf of Fingal County Council. The first of nine Ecofil units was installed in Howth village and the contactless installation is now in operation at the junction of Harbour Road and Abbey Road.
The new bottle filling stations provide contactless, clean and safe water without the risk of touching high-use buttons that could increase the spread of infection. Users can simply place a water bottle into the holder and the sensors will pick up on movement and activate the machine.
Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine splash into 2020 with Ecofil

Tidy Towns have always been a fantastic organisation to work with, and everyone here at Ecofil is always eager for the next project that Tidy Towns will put in place.
Getting one of the local schools involved to put the design for this station together was a lot of fun and one that we instantly fell in love with when revealed!
Ecofil and DCU teach plastic bottles a lesson

DCU is just one of the many universities that Ecofil has had the privilege to work with to go green by cutting down on plastic waste. In 2019, DCU installed not one but three Ecofil – Bottle filling stations around the Glasnevin campus.
Fingal fight back against plastic waste with two Ecofil stations

Fingal have joined the battle against plastic waste by installing two Ecofil – Bottle filling stations – one in Malahide and the other in Howth.
After taking a litre reading at the Malahide station, this unit saved over 80,000 plastic bottles from the environment. We had a great time working with Fingal on this project and look forward to many more in the future.
St. James’ Hospital reduces single use plastics

In an effort to reduce the use of single use plastic bottles in the hospital, St. James’ were the first hospital to install the only Irish designed & manufactured contactless bottle filling station on the market, The Iconic by ecofil.
Staff, visitors and patients welcomed their first contactless water refill station back in 2022 and have seen all the benefits first hand. The positive reactions from all the users has been overwhelming and we thank you for taking part in making Ireland greener.
Kingspan Stadium tackles plastic bottle waste

To take their sustainability mission forward, Kingspan Stadium has installed branded Iconic-V bottle filling stations, this will help tackle the plastic bottle waste at the stadium and encourage everyone from staff to players and fans to refill their own reusable water bottles. Such initiative will not only reduce waste but also decrease plastic production due to lesser demand.
We wish to thank all involved who made this project a success as this busy facility will definitely make a difference to our country and planet.
Beragh Red Knights GAA

Congratulations to all involved – With the help of St. Oliver Plunkett Primary School & Nursery Unit Beragh, the Beragh Red Knight GAA were the first clubs to install of the new Iconic-V bottle filling station. The bottle counter will remind users of the part they’re playing in fighting climate control and saying goodbye to plastic bottles at this facility.
We have installed many units in the North, but this is a first for a GAA club. The Kingspan Stadium have also installed the Iconic-V to play their part in tackling the scourge of plastic bottles.
Many clubs have now followed the lead given by the Red Knights and a number of other GAA clubs have installed the Iconic-V water station at their grounds.
The installation of the branded bottle filling station will help keep single-use plastics out of club facilities and encourages the use of reusable bottles and the drinking of pure healthy water.
